Call for Evidence - Non-Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) Cladding
This call is also open to responsible entities for private residential buildings over 18m in height that have unsafe non-ACM cladding materials, as a scoping exercise to establish the extent of affected buildings.
The Executive will consider the need for a non-ACM cladding remediation fund when this information is known.
Responsible entities for buildings over 18m in height that have unsafe non-ACM cladding materials are hereby invited to lodge a record of their building as part of the scoping exercise, by submitting the following details to the mailbox below:
- the name of responsible entity;
- the name of development; and
- any of the following:
- evidence of the fire classification of external wall system materials;
- BS8414 test undertaken; or
- record of external wall systems installed at the development, as outlined in the Government’s Expert Panel Advice.

Evidence of unsafe non-ACM cladding may be confirmed by materials having the following fire classification*:
- Cladding of Class C-s1, d0;
- Insulation of Class B-s1, d0 or worse used in combination with cladding of Class B-s1, d0 to Class B-s3, d2, unless the system has achieved a BR135 certificate via a BS8414 fire performance of external cladding systems test and is installed in line with this, or has been assessed to be in line with this by a suitably qualified professional in line with the Government’s Expert Panel advice.
- Insulation or filler, of Class B-s1, d0 or worse, where the system installed has not achieved a BR135 certificate via a BS8414 fire performance of external cladding systems test.
