Connect2 Regional Hubs
The Connect2 hubs are available for use by staff from all nine NICS Departments and their ALBs. The hubs provide strategically located work and collaboration spaces for staff as an occasional alternative to working from home or their designated office. Each hub offers access to an office environment and, where possible, are equipped with meeting rooms and pods.
The following page contains information on how staff from Arms-Length Bodies can use the Connect2 hubs.
Before using a Connect2 hub
- You must ensure you have a work photographic ID - no photographic pass, no entry
- You must register to use the Connect2 hubs by emailing Connect2@finance-ni.gov.uk
- When registered, you must book your workspace on the designated booking system
- Non-ITAssist users can access their network using GovWifi. GovWifi credentials can be obtained by texting GO to 07537 417417 and following instructions in the reply text
On arrival at the Connect2 hub
- You must show your work photographic ID
- You must sign in and out at reception, even if you work in the building
- You must put your sponsor department, not business area, in the designated space on the sign-in sheet (Put ALB name if autonomous)
What you need to know about the workspace
- Workstations do not have keyboards, mice or desktop phones
- There are no storage facilities
- Whilst tea points are provided for use, you will need to bring your own crockery, cutlery and provisions
- Only ITAssist users are able to use the print facilities
- For security reasons members of the public are not permitted in the Connect2s
