Confidentiality
Welfare Support Service is a confidential service EXCEPT in the following instances:
- Where we are informed of a breach of NICS or departmental rules and regulations;
- Where we are informed of a breach of the law;
- Where there is a risk of harm to yourself or others;
- If a disclosure relates to an equality issue.
- Child protection
Please Note:
On occasions information may be shared with colleagues within our business area of Occupational Health and Wellbeing.
In the case of disclosures made to Welfare Support Service concerning breaches of the law or of NICS or departmental rules and regulations, individuals will be strongly encouraged to report the breach to the appropriate authority.
Subject Access Requests are processed appropriately by our NICSHR Information Management Team colleagues.
