The attached policy screening document relates to proposals to amend the provisions of The Public Service (Civil Servants and Others) Pensions Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2014. The draft Statutory Rule mainly correct minor and technical issues, resolve anomalies that have recently come to light and fix typographical and grammatical errors that have been identified during the operation of the scheme. The Department of Finance is consulting with all Civil Service Trade Unions on proposals to amend the alpha amendment regulations with effect from Spring 2022.
