Government Online Skills Tool

The Government Online Skills Tool (GOST) was developed by the UK Government’s Infrastructure and Project Authority. It enables users to assess their skills, identify gaps, and provides learning solutions to address them and build personal development plans. GOST is available to members of the Project Delivery Profession with the NICS and associated ALBs.

Background

GOST is underpinned by the Project Delivery Capability Framework (PDCF). This framework describes job roles, capabilities and learning for Project Delivery Professions across government.

The framework sets out:

  • Career pathways for common job roles
  • Competencies associated with each job role
  • Signposting for development opportunities relating to each specific job role

The GOST tool allows users to assess their skills against these recognised framework and aims to help Project Delivery Professionals by allowing them to evaluate their skills against their current role, alongside any future roles they aspire to.

The PDCF and GOST were both developed by the Infrastructure & Projects Authority.

Accessing GOST

To access GOST you must first join the Project Delivery Profession (PDP) details of which are available at
